"First and foremost I am a caregiver"
When Karen Thomas LMT, migrated to "this wonderful land of the United States", as she calls it, from Trinidad and Tobago, her experiences as a caregiver thought her that there is so much more to this business of massage than just being pampered. The medical and wellbeing advantages of getting massages regularly were eye opening and a very welcome surprize.
"I moved to Sarasota in the summer of 2012 from NYC and have been enjoying every moment of it. Coming from the Caribbean, Sarasota is a "Happy Medium" for me. When I'm not helping others get rid of aches and pains through massage, I enjoy sitting under my beach umbrella on Siesta Key with my husband and teenage daughter, while reading a great book."
"If left unattended, stress in our bodies can be a major factor in causing injury and disease. As we become more aware of the effects of stress in our bodies, we can make lifestyle changes including diet, exercise and massage, that will promote a long and healthy life". - Unknown
